Wendy Grice, dramatic coloratura -
Wendy has performed principal roles with regional opera
companies throughout the US in such roles as The Queen of the
Night (Magic Flute), Violetta (La Traviata), Leonore (Fidelio),
Leonora (Trovatore), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) and Abigaille
(Nabucco) among many others.  She also created the role of
Susanna Wesley in the worlds premier of "A Church of One Book".

Before moving to the east coast, Wendy taught voice at the
University of Notre Dame and several high schools and has
maintained a private studio for 20 years.  Currently, Wendy also
teaches at East Stroudsburg University.

In her position as music director for several churches, she has
produced and directed numerous musicals for adults and children.
Wendy co-directs Pennsylvania Lyric Opera with Garry. They
have produced summer operas for young artists the last  four
summers.

Recent / Upcoming performances include; Abigaille in Nabucco
(05) and Elvira in Ernani (06) with Amici Opera in Philadelphia,
Desdemona (Otello) in Atlantic City (06), Leonore (Fidelio) with
Orchestra Society of Philadelphia, Leonora d'Este in the US
premier of Donizetti's opera, Torquato Tasso in Collingswood, NJ
in Nov. 06, Leonora (Il Trovatore) under the baton of Martin
Knoblauch in Philadelphia, a Concert in Ocean City, NJ, La Forza
del Destino in Nov. 07, Il Furioso Jan. 08, Nabucco Feb. 08, with
the Orchestra Society of Philadelphia, another performance of
Torquato Tasso in Lansdale, PA, Herodiade July 08, Nabucco in
Nov. 09, Idomoneo with Martin Knoblauch July 2010 and La
Traviata with PA Lyric Opera Aug. 2011.

Wendy holds a masters degree in Vocal Performance and
Literature from the University of Notre Dame and is currently
pursuing a PhD. She teaches at East Stroudsburg University and
with her husband, Garry, in Tannersville, PA. She is also the
organist for Forty Fort United Methodist Church.
GARRY GRICE
Garry Grice is a tenor whose repertoire of 50
roles bridges from the dramatic Italian and French
roles such as Otello, Radames, Manrico, Canio,
Achilles and Don Jose, to Heldentenor roles
Florestan, Erik Max, Bacchus and Lohengrin, with
such distinguished companies as New York City
Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Milwaukee Florentine,
Calgary and Des Moines Metro Opera, among many
others. A number of Mr. Grice's operatic roles and
concerts have been televised in the US, Canada and
Germany.

As opera producer and director, he has served as
artistic director of Indiana Opera North for eight
years, head of the voice and opera depts at Indiana
University at South Bend (4 yrs), and was the
director of opera theater and taught voice at the
University of Notre Dame for six years.  He was
opera producer and director for Quisisana Opera
(ME) and Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony in
Arkansas.  He has also produced and directed operas
at the Shawnee Playhouse, directed area college
students in productions including Die Fledermaus,
Gondoliers and The Mikado.  He directed
and designed the set for Pocono Lively Arts
production of Sondheim's Company in 2008.

In 2003, he added Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk with
Baltimore Opera, Christian Badea conducting.    Mr.
Grice recently sang the title role in Verdi's Ernani and
Florestan (Fidelio) in Philadelphia as well as Otello in
Atlantic City, a Concert in Ocean City, NJ, and A Gala
With 3 Tenors at Bethany Beach Summer Festival.  
Upcoming performances include:   A Gala With Three
Tenors, Bethany Beach July 11,  Idomoneo under the
baton of Martin Knoblauch June 2010, and
Cavaradossi (Tosca) spring 12.

Garry studied with Hubert Kockritz, head of the voice
dept. at Cincinnati Conservatory and Adelaide
Saraceni in Milan, Italy.
